'Life has a
way of throwing us challenges. It is up to
us whether or not we accept these challenges
and whether or not we see them through. It
is not wrong to refuse, nor is it wrong to
give up or fail. Sometimes though, we do
need to pass through that hoop of fire,
cross over that threshold of pain, to
achieve the prize; to really discover more
about ourselves and to live life to its
fullest.'
To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our Queen
Elizabeth II an extraordinary equine
extravaganza was organised. This occasion
called 'All the Queen's Horses' was
performed at Windsor on the evenings of May
16th, 17th and 18th 2002. It brought
together over a thousand horses and ponies,
with two thousand riders, grooms and
supporters for one memorable week in which
the participants rehearsed and performed
their set 'Acts' in front of the Queen and
the Royal Family.
Yet out of it came one of the most
memorable, magnificent, spectacular
occasions ever performed. For those of us
who were there this is a time we shall never
forget. For those of you who were not, share
it now, the experience of a lifetime in 'One
of the Queen's Horses'.
